Seeing as you mentioned High Definition - how come the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's HD quality is far inferior when compared with the proper HD that Sky (for example) use?

Compare Sky News HD and Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One HD - there is no contest.

i heard a few commentators remark about the wheel tethers on perez's car failing but if you look carefully enough it wasnt a wheel rolling down the road ,it was actually a tyre that had detached from the wheel hub which could clearly be seen still tethered to the car when the crane was lifting the car onto the flatbed lorry

What's going on with Brundell, he use to be so on the ball with ITV, now he's got rid of Legard and got his mate Coulthard the job he seems less knowledgeable and off the mark. Coulthard turning out to be excellent in commentary, knowledge and predictions...come on Martin want the ITV version of you back.

I love sports, today was not sport.
If you are not involved in a clash and the race was stopped as it was, no team should be allowed to touch the cars and the race can come to its true end.
Vettal got pole by luck and then was handed the race on a platter when his tyres were about to drop off the cliff.

Today was very much sport. The 'run of the green' otherwise known as luck is a key part of sport. Sure, Vettel got lucky and Hamilton was very unlucky ... but that's how it goes sometimes.

Monaco gp a farce. When is bbc and f1 going to wakeup.

I think the fans of F1 were cheated in Monaco. I watched with anticipation at what could have been one of the best finishes we have seen in recent years with less than a second between the top 3 in the closing laps. However, perhaps inevitably and unfortunately a racing incident disrupted the finale which is understandable given the circuit. What I cannot understand is how the F1 rules allow an incident such as was seen yesterday to directly influence the outcome of the race. Surely any reasonable person would agree that cars on the track should not be allowed to effectively make a free pit stop whilst the red flag was out? Although all cars were in the same position in being able to make the changes the rules directly intereferred with the team tactics and the race might as well have been stopped under the red flag as it was more or less a procession to the finish line. It seems obvious that the rules should be changed as they are surely there to provide a structure and framework for equality and fairness to the racing and not to directly influence the outcome.

gordonconnolly - I Agree entirely, what a farce!!

Can someone explain to Coulthard why it is that drivers do not lose 22 or so seconds each time they enter the pits for a tyre change. He seems not to be able to fathom that, whilst they are in the pits, their opponents are driving around the pits, which takes 8-ish seconds. So the time lost is nearer 14-ish seconds. Please can someone help Coulthard with this seemingly irresolvable conundrum.

Jake, loved the Monaco coverage,the sequence explained above was superb, and the Forum was an absolute classic. Glad EJ got his glasses back, although I think he could do with a new pair anyway, because he clearly can't see very well, given the shirts he chooses.......

Apart from the EJ wardrobe, I'm in awe of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú F1 team. You all do a fantastic job. A well deserved BAFTA!!

I thought it was one of the most exciting Monaco GPs for years, full of incident and drama. But it was a shame that we were denied a potentially epic last few laps because of Petrov's accident, and I don't think that the teams should be allowed to work on the cars during a red flag stoppage.

And Savatanem- I'm sorry, but DC is right, isn't he? The other cars aren't just "driving around" the pits, they're racing, and therefore gaining time over the car in the pits. When a car spends 22 seconds from entry to exit of the pit lane, then the other cars that haven't stopped are 22 seconds ahead on the race track, and 22 seconds closer to the chequered flag.

Jake -another fab programme loved it all - forum was great I actually enjoyed the bits where you were walking to the "floater" home through the streets and pits - gave us a look at what goes on after the race.

We were robbed of a great race today - I was on the edge of my seat - what a disappointment! Monaco should definately not be taken off the calendar - its a great spectacle and yesterday proved that it can be exciting.

Glad Perez and Petrov are OK.

Not going to waste all the positives with talking about Lewis - the only thing missing from his post race comments was his petted lip.....and I'm and Lewis and Jenson fan.
