Andrew Cotter's Six Nations XV

Andrew CotterHere's my team of the tournament so far:

15) Girvan Demspey (Ireland) - Best of an average bunch. Not too many great full-backs around at the moment and perhaps a shame that Josh Lewsey hasn't been playing there for England.

14) Shane Horgan (Ireland) -With Dominici on one wing I wanted a bit more firepower here. Picks great lines. great footballing skills. Great finisher.

13) Brian O'Driscoll (Ireland) - I think this boy has potential and could one day develop into a decent player.

12) Yannick Jauzion (France) - Could just have easily been Gordon D'Arcy but Jauzion seems to have put his humiliation by The All Blacks in November behind him.聽

11) Christophe Dominici (France) - Shades it ahead of Jason Robinson whose comeback to the international scene has been impressive.

10) Ronan O'Gara (Ireland) - If not O'Gara then I'd actually like to聽say Lionel Beauxis who I feel is a better option at 10 for France than Skrela, but he hasn't been given enough game-time.

9) Pierre Mignoni (France) - His sheer energy and speed seems to have reinvigorated the French back-line.

1) Olivier Milloud (France) - Could also have been Sylvain Marconnet with both in top form but neither given extended runs in the loosehead jersey. Speaking of which, I'm not sure why Julian White isn't being given his
chance for England.

2) Raphael Ibanez (France) - The best ball-carrying hooker in the 6 Nations. And a wise old head.

3) Martin Castrogiovanni (Italy) -聽A huge blow for Italy that he's out for the rest of the Six Nations, but they do at least have pretty good cover.

4) Paul O'Connell (Ireland) - His performance against England was immense. May well be the greatest ginger rugby player ever. Any other suggestions?

5) Marco Bortolami (Italy)

6) Simon Easterby (Ireland) - Just about the fittest, hardest-working flanker in the Northern Hemisphere.

7) Martyn Williams (Wales) - Always impressive in a side which hasn't been too impressive so far.

8) Denis Leamy (Ireland) - A great ball-carrier and, like so many in the Ireland side at the moment, brings a real commitment and energy to the team.聽Sebastian Chabal is certainly worth a shout, but with Laporte tinkering, not too many French players are featuring in all the games.

Here's the combined XV aggregated from all our selections.

Andrew, I like the look of your team but I have one major reservation.

For me, David Wallace has been Ireland's and the tournament's best player. IMO, over the past year, only Richie McCaw has shown himself to be a better 7.

Have you not seen david wallace ARE YOU BLIND! He's the player of the championship williams is no where near him at the moment. The only flanker better than him is Richie MaCaw

All the Irish lads complaining about Wallace being left out. Check out the other pundits' team selections. Wallace has been picked by only 1 out of the 3.

Wallace does not even come close to McCaw & Schalke Berger is also a better flanker (even though he's a blind side).
