Jump Around: The 7 least expected covers at Reading so far

1. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Brimful of Asha

Midway through the ' headline set, you're listening out for the classics.

You're expecting some 90s, of course. Are they gonna play 'Under The Bridge?' No, seriously, when are they gonna play 'Under The Bridge?'

It was a bit of a surprise, though, when halfway through we spotted Flea strumming out a few bars of Cornershop's 1997 hit 'Brimful of Asha'.

2. Blossoms - You're Gorgeous

Speaking of the 90s, we were a bit surprised when the lovely cranked out Babybird's You're Gorgeous.

Officially the most awkward song to hear in the car with your parents when you were 9 years old, You're Gorgeous is a paeon to a vapid, modish lifestyle.

Hands in the air if you've had weird cringe flashbacks about ice cubes ever since 1996.

3. Jack Garratt - Fresh Prince of Bel Air

You know how it is, you're watching . You're thinking 'how the heck is he playing the drums with one hand and the keys with the other?'

Then you get onto 'Whoa hold up he's got a load of foot pedals too, this bloke's a mouth-organ away from a full one-man-band setup!'

Then you're like 'Is he doing the theme tune to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air?'

He flippin' is.

4. twenty one pilots - Jump Around

You know what to expect from a set - bit of acrobatics, bit of climbing, lots of emotively-driven hip-hop tinged rock.

In amongst all the red eyeshadow, though, you might be a bit surprised to discover a version of House of Pain's 1992 hit 'Jump Around.'

5. Imagine Dragons - Song 2

played an absolute blinder of a set, culminating in a shirtless, sweaty, emotional rendition of Radioactive.

But they managed to find enough time to keep to an emerging 90s classic covers theme and threw in a pretty heavy outing of Blur's 1997 smash Song 2.

Woohoo!

6. Nas - Sweet Dreams

Meanwhile, hip hop legend broke the 90s pattern.

With plenty of his own epic hits from the era, Nas headed a bit earlier by throwing in a version of the Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams to his set.

Or well, he sampled it. But he had a live singer. We're counting it.

7. Eagles of Death Metal - Save a Prayer

Hard-rocking, hard-partying, fast-loving are not the first act you'd associate with a soft, electro-tinged 80s ballad.

But here they are, Jesse belting out the lyrics to Duran Duran's tropical-rock megahit, 'Save A Prayer.'

Without any nudity or anything - truly unexpected!
