Episode 3 of 4

A year in the life of the Gower Peninsula. Summer has arrived and the locals are preparing to compete in the annual Gower Show.

The wild beaches of the Gower Peninsula are a magnet for over three million tourists a year. Only minutes from the industry of Swansea and Port Talbot, Gower is still a secret and private place the locals like to keep to themselves. This series witnesses a year in the life of Gower and follows some of the people whose families have been there for generations.

In this episode, summer has arrived and the locals are preparing to compete in the annual Gower Show. Llandewi and Knelston WI is determined to win the shield but first there are some important factors to work out - like how to stop cucumber getting soggy.

Christmas tree farmer Rob Morgan brings his reindeer to the show and the Gower Society comes under fire again for their aerial pictures of caravan sites. The bad weather is disappointing for local business owners but the sun comes out for the show and the competition is fierce.
