Pastor Mimi Asher
Pastor Mimi was living on the Myatt鈥檚 Field estate in South London when her son, Michael, became involved with a notorious gang.聽 Mimi feared for Michael鈥檚 safety and what the future would hold for him.聽 In order to reach out to Michael, Mimi opened up her home to the gang, providing a place where they could relax and be cared for.聽 Due to Mimi鈥檚 actions, both Michael and his friend Karl left the gang and now preach in Mimi鈥檚 church.

Susi Bechh枚fer
Susi and her twin sister Eunice were born to a Jewish mother (Rosa) and a German father (Otto), right before the start of WWII.聽 Otto was forced into hiding and Rosa made the very difficult decision to allow her daughters to be taken to England on the Kindertransport.聽 Once in England, Susi and Eunice were adopted by a Baptist minister and his wife, their names were changed and their Jewish identity was forgotten.聽 Susi didn't discover who she really was until much later in life, when she found out聽 the sacrifice Rosa made for her and her sister.

The Exultate Singers
Exultate Singers is an accomplished chamber choir of 40 singers based in Bristol, founded in September 2002 by its conductor, David Ogden. The choir has gone on to perform in more than 150 concerts, broadcasts on 麻豆官网首页入口 Radios 2, 3, 4, the World Service and Classic FM, has appeared on 麻豆官网首页入口's Songs of Praise and The One Show and has made 4 CD recordings.聽聽

Childrens Choir
This choir of children came together especially for this Songs of Praise recording, under conductor David Ogden.聽 They children come from two separate choirs from the Bristol area, Westbury on Trym Parish Church Choir and Bristol Schools Chamber Choir, and range from 8 to 18 years of age.聽

The Military Wives
The Military Wives became a household name following the creation of the original choir on 麻豆官网首页入口 Two programme The Choir, which featured choirmaster Gareth Malone.聽 There are now branches of the choir all over the UK and all members are the wives or partners of British military personnel.

St. Alban鈥檚 Church
This Christian community is made up of the congregations from two churches; St Alban鈥檚 C of E Church and Westbury Park Methodist Church.聽 The main Sunday act of worship takes place in the building of St Alban鈥檚, which is where this Songs of Praise recording took place.

Lilies of the Valley
In 2008, Lucinda Smith set up the Lilies of the Valley charity in Keighley.聽 The aim of the charity is to provide support for mothers in the area, who may otherwise feel isolated or alone, and also to demonstrate their Christian faith in a practical way.
