In this episode, Joe meets jazz musicians Simon Kaylor and Kari Bleivik who have bought a large derelict Methodist Chapel in Leeds. They are keen to share their plans to turn this unusual property into a family home with music rehearsal spaces - and to get as much guidance as they can. To give Simon and Kari tips and inspiration, Joe introduces them to a man who has converted an old Methodist Chapel in York into an amazing hi-tech home.

Joe also discovers how a Manchester-based project to convert 27 long term empty houses into affordable family homes will also give local youngsters the chance to train as apprentices, and follows Empty Property Officer Matt Smith on his mission to save abandoned houses in Birmingham.
