BARD OF ARMAGH… IN FERMANAGH?
Today we hear from the Bard of Armagh himself, Seamus Carolan from Roslea who won back the Bard title with his excellent poem ‘Agony Aunt Frankie’… Anne Marie went to meet him in person to learn how sitting round the fire as a child inspired his love of storytelling.

… Is a new children’s book about a little girl called Pip and her Jack Russell friend called Jack. If you are ever to visit Raceview Mill in Broughshane then you might just see them for yourself. Invented by, Roy Mckeown and illustrator, Jennifer McNeill. For a preview of the book, Anne Marie went along and got a reading of the book.

BURNS NIGHT
The Burns Supper is an institution and celebrated widelyÌýin Northern Ireland and Scotland. People all over Northern Ireland will be raising a glass to toastÌýthe famous poet, Robert Burns in the run up to Burns Night. And to celebrate, Anne Marie is joined in studio by Noreen NapierÌýand curator, Linda McKenna who will be performing at the Down County Museum.

An 80 strong community gospel choir is to take to the stage in Portstewart Baptist Church. If you like uplifting music and energized melodies then tune in. Anne Marie talks to a band member, Keeva and Tony Morrison who is one of the founders…ÌýÌý
FRENCH CONNECTION
Anne Marie went to visit the town of Castlewellan to hear the story of the Annesley family and their French Connection. She was also joined by Dr Sally Montgomery and Mickey Burns, two people with a love of local history and, who may be able to shed some light on any continental influence in Co Down.
