Australia’s continuing gold rush fuelling a modern boom
About 370 miles (600km) from Perth in Western Australia, lies Kalgoorlie-Boulder (formerly Kalgoorlie) - one of the original Australian Gold rush towns.
The Travel Show's Rajan Datar tries gold prospecting and visits the country's largest open pit mine - which can produce up to 28 tonnes of gold year.
