Labour MP Frank Field says it was "dismal" to hear more of the same "that lost us the last election" from the four leadership candidates in this morning's hustings.

Speaking on the Daily Politics, he says he's happy with the government's proposal in the Budget for a cap on child tax credits - but adds that the government should protect existing claimants who are part of the "army of strivers", but restrict future claimants.
