Lieutenant-Colonel Roland Brett
Roland is the fiercely loyal and morally centred head of the hospital.
Roland is a firm but fair leader but he鈥檚 constantly amazed by the insanity and impracticality of the orders from the top brass. They roll out directive after directive, ignorant of what the medics at the coal face are really up against.
Roland endeavours to run the hospital his own way, by his own rules, without causing more friction with the powers that be than completely necessary.
If it comes to a matter of principle, he鈥檚 more than happy to stick his head above the parapet but will his innate decency be his undoing?
