The largest of the Canid dog family, , found across the Northern hemisphere. Typically they’re smaller further South, and larger further North, with the North Western population of Alaska and Canada being the biggest in the world. Wolves typically live in packs ranging from 2 to 36 animals. The dominant or alpha pair in a wolf pack are the only pair that breed, and as one dies another wolf becomes the new alpha.

Wolves are usually pack hunters working together to bring down prey many times their size like moose and bison, but they will also hunt smaller animals individually, targeting prey like beavers and rabbits.
