Amber and Codie
Codie (left) and Amber (right) are going on their first holiday without their parents to Magaluf - aka Shagaluf.
Amber Wakefield, 17, spends most of her time hanging out at her parents' laundrette on Moston Lane. Her and eight girlfriends – including best mate Codie – are off to Magaluf for a package holiday, to experience somewhere new and experience life without their parents.
I told someone at work that we were going to Magaluf with 9 girls and all they said was, 'Good Luck!'Codie
Codie is practically the fifth member of the Wakefield family, spending most of her time at their house. She was brought up by her grandparents after her mother spent time in and out of prisons. She sees Karen, Amber’s mum, as another mother figure. Often climbing into bed with her to watch telly and getting her to do her ironing.
Having lived in the area all their lives, what will they think when they go abroad for the first time?
