Played by Al Weaver (1900s-1920s) and Guy Henry (1930s-1940s).
The loyal husband of Virginia, Leonard is a proficient publisher, political theorist and writer. He is a very steady, kind and deliberate man, and his routine is everything to him. He is realistic and has a clear-eyed view of the excesses of those around him.
About Al Weaver
This Summer Al will reprise the role of Leonard Graham in the hugely popular TV series Grantchester and also The Hollow Crown II. Other recent small-screen work includes The Smoke and Southcliffe.
Al has been seen in films such as Me & Orson Welles, Marie Antoinette, Unmade Beds, Doom, The Merchant Of Venice and Colour Me Kubrick. His forthcoming features include Macbeth, The Last Photograph, Love is Thicker Than Water and We Are Tourists.
On stage, Al has appeared in The Pride, Inadmissible Evidence, The Seagull, The House Of Games, How To Curse, The Waltz Of The Toreadors, Coram Boy and Hamlet.
About Guy Henry
Stage and screen actor Guy Henry most recently appeared on television in Our Zoo. His other television work includes Count Arthur Strong, Father Brown, New Worlds, Holby City, Murderland, Poirot, Wallander, Hotel Babylon, Extras and Foyle’s War. On the big screen Guy has appeared in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Creation, Starter for Ten, V for Vendetta, Bright Young Things and Another Country.
On stage Guy has performed in Wendy & Peter, Hayfever, Twelfth Night, Mary Stuart, The Coast of Utopia and over 10 RSC productions, including Henry VIII, Hamlet and Cymbeline.
