today has been long and grey although we had a moment of sunshine. it's hot and sultry....the garden is looking lush, saved by humidity more than rain.there is the heavy quiet that this close weather brings. the kids broke up for the summer today tourists are already here in number especially the two wheeled variety... another season starting. mainlanders behaving as if the island is a holiday camp , islanders going loopy - needing space...let the fun begin lol
we're off to skye, get some culture, listen to some music the sort of event that should be here...of course the logistics are a nightmare. our "lifeline" service barely accommodates the essentials never mind spontaneous acts of generosity in terms of cheap fares for entertainers...with the notable exception of Malcolm the Magician...and a very worthwhile (and appreciated) exception that was !!! anyway, it's all change on colonsay this year...lets hope for the better i'm sure every islandblogger thinks they have the most beautiful island, greatest transport and housing problems and the most wonderful, if difficult life...guess what !?? me too !!! lol..here's some pics to prove at least a bit of it!
