just a quickie....kids and i high tailed it to skye this weekend for the edinbane festival.....we're back after a weekend of rain, wind and mud. my daughter was convinced it was monsoon time! the festival was great tho and after all, what is camping without getting drenched...kids not put off, on the contrary, desperate to get the tent up. we're thinking of doing colonsays' perimeter. a good idea if i wasn't the packhorse lol. Colonasy is now over-run with tourists. i am fortunate in not being directly beholden to tourism for a living..of course they are the major source of income for most people and so the entire island becomes to some degree dependant on tourism really...i guess the same could be held to be true of scotland as a whole. ach well if i wasn't a tourist mesel' at the weekend there! come back to a non-functioning washing machine...getting it fixed is a bit of a problem, not a hydro machine and (of course) out of guarantee anyway..i'm assured it's only a little problem ...i gotto find a handyman to fix it tho...not good timing, at least i have the offer of use of a machine in the meantime ...anyone know how to re-programme a washing machine????? more to follow once i've caught up on my sleep! and photos when i locate the camera.......

well this is the problem... .@ 拢239.00 approx or...mebbe its only the belt 拢25- 拢30)...either way i gotto do the fixin and i gotto wait for the part... I reckon i have some clean clothes to play with so mebbe i'll risk the belt, of course if i just give in to a new machine (disgusting, it's only 2 years old!) i could get a nice grey one with the extra 拢30.00 ah well got far too much time on my hands if i can sit and do this...better get on and try and fix it...find out if it's the torque on the belt or the module...thank god i joined the fire-brigade or i'd have little idea what torque was lol!!! her is the only usable picture from skte..fantastic dancers called circus 3...amazing, unfortunately the picture shows nothing of the humour and physicality of the dance..when are they introducing video to this??? and this is what happens if you camp in skye lol.. bit unsure of the wildlife too.....

so running around trying to get my exhibition organised and the new washing machine has arrived in the middle of it all (not smelly anymore John, thanx for the concern lol) still it does mean i'll have something clean to wear to the opening!!!! actually managed to catch some fish with the kids with the help of an expert, which results in my daughter wanting to become a vegetarian,,,shouldn't have insisted on sushi !!!! (not really). looking forward to a week of talking about art and hopefully, managing to get washing machines plumbed in and some time on the beach....fingers crossed there are some buyers on the island just now!!
