It never snows on Mull!

If I had a pound everytime someone said that to me, I could retire - well if it doesn't snow - then what is this..........

Our back garden at 8.15 am on Saturday morning!

Pepper sneaking out - thinking no-one has noticed!

Jessie - just looking daft as she always does

Synchronised flying from the Oystercatchers

Glenforsa airfield

Ben Talaidh from the Glen track

Salen Village from the bay

Is it Christmas??

this little fellow came so close - shame we didnt have some crumbs for him (or her)

The wrecks at Salen Bay

The Old Pier at Salen - notice the grey bananas in the foreground!

Wrecks at Salen - they are so photographic!!

Across to the mainland from Salen Bay - sorry dont know the name of the mountain - perhaps someone can help??

I took over 300 pictures on Saturday - a lot of my daughter - sadly in this day and age, I am not happy about putting her photo here but just to say her face was just sheer joy - a 7 year old just enjoying snow without a care in the world - I was glad I was able to capture it. Apologies for overloading the system with photos - I bet IBHQ has been bombarded this weekend with "snow" photos - for us it was a first - we had never experienced snow on Mull and this is all part of our first winter - by Saturday evening it was raining and when we woke on Sunday there was not a trace of snow left - just the photos to remind us that we didn't dream it - it really happened - truly magical.- I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well and it didnt cause too much disruption

But as they say "it never snows on Mull"

Really sublime photos WF. The robin is picture perfect. And as for the retro chic cachet of having three oystercatchers flying up your wall instead of ducks...well...I think you might be onto the Next Big Thing in interior decor! Can I have a grey banana please?

Flying Cat from Meeaow Pepper!

I expect you have been busy feeding your birds when you are not taking pictures. Very nice photos, WF.

You could make a fortune WF, with all your lovely pictures on postcards,

Oh Wild Freckle, these are the most lovely photographs, I agree with Flying Cat, that Robin on a Branch is just.... superb. What a talent !!

Squidgy the Otter from green with envy

That's Ben Hiant - the mountain covered in snow! Cheers, MM

MM from Tob

thanks MM - I always look at the map and trying and see the name but am never 100% sure I'm looking at the right one and would hate to get it wrong. Thank you Squidgy - I just love snapping on this Island - never had a camera till September!!

Wild Freckle from Mull - how much rain can fall from the sky?

FC, Squidgy and MM have already said it, but once again - wonderfully evocative pictures. Thank you. Glad your wee girl had fun with the snow - its obviously getting scarcity value across the N. hemisphere! We're not even getting frost now (well, almost none).

Barney from Swithiod and no snow here either

We get great views of the snow on Mull (admittedly mostly on Ben Mor), and also great views of the rain. I'm only envious sometimes.

Nic from Coll

AAHH ---MM is still alive!

carol from in the air

He rocks!

Flying Cat from the soul of brevity

Thank you for sharing the photos. They remind us so much of our time on Mull, when it also snowed.

Gary Sutherland from Carradale

i loved your photos they made me home sick keep them coming.

R Mckay-heeney from hastings east sussex

You have captured beautifully the essence of snow - and with an added touch of humour - along the way.

Peter from Stirling

You have a natural talent for capturing nature within photography - the magnificent photo of the 'Robin' is a joy to see. Well done - I shall look forward to viewing future postings and as I shortly due to arrive on Mull myself - hopefully will have an awareness - of what to expect on such a beautiful isle. Thank you

Peter from Stirling
