Although Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World Service is technically the parent of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World Service Trust, it is exempt from consolidation. This is because the trustees have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the beneficiaries and as substantially all of the income is made up of grants, which are classified as restricted funds because their use is specified by donors, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World Service has no direct control over, or financial interest in, the assets.
The results and balances of the other companies listed above are presented in the consolidated financial statements and the notes to these financial statements.
