Live-action comedy series introducing Titch and Ted as they complete a series of odd jobs, learning all about fractions as they go. Titch is excited about a trip to the funfair with Ted. But unfortunately, Ted has spent all their savings for the fair on a new hammer, so they need to earn some money first. The episode is packed full of learning material and humour, as Titch and Ted get themselves into all sorts of funny scrapes trying to keep their boss Mr Pie happy.

Titch and Ted arrive at Mr Pie's house for their latest job. Mr Pie needs shelves putting up before Miss Dotty arrives. All the shelves need to be cut from one piece of wood and must be equal sizes - just the job for someone who knows about fractions. There are plenty of odd jobs at Mr Pie's house. They're in the garden and there are sandwiches to share, windows to be cleaned and bottles of water to leave half full. Titch uses her knowledge of halves and quarters to help Ted. They learn that two quarters are the same as one half and that four quarters make one whole. Ted also discovers that if 1 litre is 1,000 millilitres, half a litre must be 500 millilitres. Mr Pie wants Titch and Ted to make an apple pie for his favourite neighbour Miss Dotty. First, the apples need picking, which requires an understanding of how to find a fraction of an amount, something Titch happily shows Ted.

Ted just needs to keep Mr Pie happy so that Titch doesn't get into trouble. Mr Pie asks them to make a table for his dinner with Miss Dotty. They need to work out how many nails they should use to attach each leg, for which they carefully work out what a sixth of 12 is. Then they need to calculate two sixths. As usual Titch has the maths skills, but it's Mr Pie's dislike of tomatoes that ends up the problem. Titch and Ted have had a busy day at Mr Pie's house, solving fraction problems inside and outside. To finish, there is a recap of the key learning from episodes one to five, which includes halves, quarters and sixths.
