He is a natural comedian and does impressions to amuse his mates, Georgie, Terry and Bern.
Danny is doing his best to 'h'integrate' as he has been told by his mum; but his nemesis Skinner Bailey picks on him and bullies him continually. Life at school and on the park can be tough. But with his sense of humour and his mates and with the help of his sister Dee Dee (a truncheon-wielding policewoman) - Danny somehow manages to come up smelling of roses.
Danny's weakness, is that he wants to please everyone, he'll twist himself into pretzels trying to fit in and do as he's told and as local girl Cherry keeps telling him "one day, he should try standing up for himself." Danny's naiveté gets him contracted to a minstrel show, depression follows and pretty soon his only option is to do something else... but what?
