Get to know Charley
There are two types of people in this world: people who are rubbish at singing ‘Rescue Me’ by Fontella Bass and people who are really good at it. Luckily, Charley is one of the second kind.
The 52-year-old mum from Newcastle delivered a delicious rendition of the soul classic, helped by the fact that she toured the world as part of a soul band called Zoots many years ago. Paloma didn’t turn around but did compliment Charley on her lovely skin (so swings and roundabouts).
Boy George, meanwhile, reached for his big red button and said lots of lovely things about Charley. He’s such a charmer, charmer, charmer, charmer, charmer chameleon. (You’re welcome)
