Jester
Insane Championship Wrestling鈥檚 hard-core heavyweight left school at the age of 15 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
He worked around the Scottish scene for several years learning his craft before being offered a full time spot with a touring promotion at the tender age of 18. However, his first performance was in front of a miniscule crowd of 6 people in Wemyss Bay and made the young pro question why he had left school to do this for a living.
When I was at school I wanted to be a tattoo artist, a wrestler or a clown and so far, I've managed to do all three.Jester
He pressed forward and by 2010 he had wrestled in thousands of matches and was one of the busiest wrestlers in the UK, sometimes wrestling as many as 28 matches a week in holiday camps and theatres all over the country. On the home front, Jester鈥檚 wrestling persona had the characteristics of both a circus clown and a court jester (in fact he had spent a brief period working as a clown for a British touring circus). As he grew older he wanted to totally change his character into something much darker and sinister but every show in the UK was aimed at a family audience, all except for one company which was aimed at an over-18s crowd and it was called Insane Championship Wrestling.
He contacted ICW promoter Mark Dallas and talked to him about his idea for a new Jack Jester and told him the only place he thought it would work would be ICW. Dallas agreed and one of the most successful business relationships in the history of Scottish wrestling was born. Jester鈥檚 darker character helped deliver the violence which put the 'Insane' in Insane Championship Wrestling, and it helped company achieve cult status in Glasgow, and later the whole of Scotland.
Jester has appeared on every ICW show and epitomizes the ethos and rebellious attitude the company preaches to its hard-core following. He has bled buckets of blood and suffered countless injuries for the promotion to see it grow into what it is today. Jester flies the flag for Insane Championship Wrestling wherever he goes and delivers value for money for the fans whenever he steps through the ropes.
