Grado

Grado wasn’t always his nickname, he was known as Grant Dunbar until one night, he was locked out of his hotel room on a drunken lad’s holiday and decided to head to a tattoo parlour to pass the time.

When in the chair he was asked what he would like, he told the tattoo artist to write a name across his upper arm, and that was the day that Grant Dunbar ceased to be and Grado was born! (Although he regretted it when he sobered up and had no idea why he had asked for it to be tattooed on his arm. He told his mates to call him Grado from now on)

Grado

Grado posted a funny online video to generate publicity for a local match against his friend Adam Shame. The video caught the eye of Insane Championship Wrestling promoter Mark Dallas who contacted Grado and offered him the opportunity to come and work for him in Glasgow. Grado jumped at the chance, and Mark along with his co-writer Chris Renfrew devised a story where Grado tried to get a job with ICW but had no luck. The video later went on YouTube under the title 'The Trials and Tribulations of Grado’ and the following month, Grado jumped the barrier at a show to help Scottish wrestling legend Drew McDonald and Wolfgang who were outnumbered 5 to 2. Mark Dallas walked to the ringside, grabbed the mic and said "Grado your f*cking booked son!"

Grado is now one of the main stars of Insane Championship Wrestling and is booked regularly around the United Kingdom. However Insane Championship Wrestling continues to be his home - no matter where he fights, the crowds always chant "ICW, ICW, ICW" and the young man from the "tap end of Stevenston" wouldn't have it any other way.
