Hi Peeps,

Thought I would update you of our progress so far.

The 3 foot field now look crudely like a lawn? well it will when the colour comes back after severe strimming.

On the first Monday I layed the carpets in the master bedroom and our Sons room, including the top landing so my wife Sarah can set up her temporary office.

Then I completed to finish off the lobby wall and make a double fitted waldrobe, still needs decoration though....Oh I have included some pics of our temp kitchen come bathroom? Sarahs doing well on our 11th day maybe if I'm lucky she will not want a fitted kitchen?

Today I have just completed the plumbing and fowl waste to the new shower room, its such a luxury to flush the toilet instead of a bucket, oh those little things you miss.

Next task is to install the hydro shower?......that looks fun.

I have ordered the windows and door so they shoulds be installed in the next few weeks, and the kids are pleased as we got the satellite installed today so maybe we will get some peace now.

The lounge currently is the storage holding area, this will be the next project to complete if my back holds out :0

Oh and what a fantastic week of weather last week, we went to Ness for a family walk........next time with a picnic not forgetting Harris our dog he is never in the house now he loves it outside more.

Saturaday 7th July, Just added new picture of Hydro shower now we have HOT water :) and here are a couple of photos of the shower room tiled.

Well its Friday the 13th July as I finished the bathroom, and it is the Kids school holiday I thought we will spend some quality time at the beach well the Cove / Harbour at Ness......the weather was not great but I had to send you a shot of how busy it was there?

Eventhough the sun was not out its still such a fantastic place.

Well here we go............Straight into project 2, the dreaded lounge, We have managed to clear most the boxes out which are now in the kitchen where the old bathroom used to be, My wife thought things were getting better, but I have promised her that project 3.......more like 303! she will get her new kitchen next even though Sarah is cracking out some great meals on this fan assisted baby belling 2 ring stove? shes a trooper.

I have ordered up the materials which will be delivered this week, electrics to do tomorrow, oh and I have bought the Chinese chimney pot heads to stop the water ingress pouring in through the two fire opening......thats a tomorrow job too weather permitting, as It was a bit wet today :o(

After the new walls are installed, I have to fit the red solid oak floor which I bought with me, due to the Island prices.

Then hopefully the suite wont be up on its end, and then we want to keep the existing fire surround in keeping with this type of croft house, as a friend of mine made the fire baskets, so this will need a major clean up.

I have given myself 10 days on this one, so here goes......well it will be 10 days from when the materials arrive?

Ok here are a couple of Pictures, I have completed all the studwork and drylinging including electrics as the materials turned up on Tuesday so only lost 1 day.......as you can see the fire surround has been cleaned up and re grouted, and my suite is on its legs again after being store sideways for 4 weeks.....wow we have been here 1 month now?, on Monday the new suite turns up as this one is just not working out it is too big so it has to go. OH by the way I have taken a pic of my HD ready LCD screem for MJC LOL :o)

Just thought I would drop you a line, as the blogs have gone very quite? Maybe everyone's on Holiday except me LOL.

Well the Lounge is well under way and on track.........BUT the spanner in the works is that my windows are ready, so I've had to jiggle things around this week the windows are being fitted as we speak.

Then I will complete the lounge and go onto the kitchen which is now Project 4 so the house is transforming quite nicely, here just a pic of the new door and ground floor windows....Here is another photo of completed windows, in keeping with the style of the property.

I promise that when I do the guttering they wont run through the view of the windows LOL

Well.......here it is the finished product looks a little better than the origional, I just have to add a sealer to the oak floor.

Im just in the process of fitting the flooring to the shower room and re boxing in the window returns after fitting so once this is complete..........Sarah will get her new kitchen.

I think we would have to do a trip to the mainland to order the units up....but of coarse I will keep you posted
