Update on Ruin

Hi just another update?......as you can see we have cleared the 1st corner of the ruin to enable us to lay the slab for the new conservatory, its nice to have something level for a change, Sarah and I are now preparing the rear area for the works shop, as you can see we gained quite alot of area from cutting back the Fushia, and after strimming the bramble bushes the ground it quite level so not as much work than the stone wall I hope?, I have also included a shop of the Chics (Silkies) in there new home, there still not ready for outside yet, but the weather was nice so we though they can have a stretch.

Busy weekend

Well, we have finished the workshop base so this weekend and pending the winds die down I will get this erected and prepared with wood treatment.

This is great news as it will take a week to set my workshop up, making more room in the house (tools everywhere?) so I can crack on with the internal works

I have just found out that my conservatory is near completion for me to install so that will be a week on Monday's job.

Oh and I finally got a quote for the roof, at last after 15 months so im hoping they can start that in around 3 weeks time.

The chicks are doing well, now 81/2 weeks old so they will be ready to go out soon, nice to have them in the house but messy little things.
OK I got the shed up in one day, so not bad going, its now Tuesday and the winds have died down so I will complete the roofing felt to make it water tight.

Workshop's completed

Well, after the few bad days of wet, wet, wet, the workshop is finally finished including the roofing, today wednesday the weather was so nice I finally got the raeburn out, what a monster if I had fired this thing up, it would had blown a gasket, it was like metal being submerged under water completly rotten.

As you can see Sarah has more room now? well it feels like it anyway and I think she getting a little excited cos maybe the kitchen may get put in (not quite)!

I have just found out the conservetory is now ready, so if they deliver it this week I may get it done by the weekend....pending weather again :o)

Oh the chicks are now outside and doing great, I will take a picture later to show you how fluffy these things are....See you all soon

Conservatory

We had a good Saturday after trying to sort out all componants and there was alot of them, we had managed to get the walls up, and the base bolted to the slab. The next job Monday will be the roofing system.

Once I have made this water tight, I will remove the old side door, which has blockwork behing it so we can link this from the Kitchen and give use more light as its very dark.

Oh and here is a pic of the Silkies now 10 weeks old

Well the conservatory is finish apart from the roof flashing, and I
have now cut out the blockwork to link the kitchen it seems nice to have more natural light in the kitchen
