Personally I don't care about some little handbag fight between Clarkson and some producer, like thousands of other people I want to watch one of my favourite programs. Do what you like Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú but keep us out of it, we are your customers, how dare you presume you can cancel a program because of an internal spat. Put it back on and keep your problems to yourself.

Yes, they could just have James and Richard doing it, but it just wouldn't be the same.

How do you know it was a fight...you know more than anyone else...

One man punching another is not a fight...

Or are you alleging that the producer also threw a punch...I've heard nothing to that affect...

Yes he is - but you can't just turn a blind eye to these sorts of things, it sets a bad example and 'dumbs down' yet again acceptable standards.

Quite like the idea of showing the remaining programmes with him missing - make a point rather.

    Yes, why not?

It looks to me as if the OP's standards of behaviour are abysmally low. I'm just glad I'm not part of their household, or visit their household or have to work with them. Not the kind of values that (hopefully) the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú should take into account.

Clarkson is arrogant, self opinionated and rebellious which is why you love him or hate him but he attracts a good audience because of his behaviour. I love watching him but feel its a shame he cannot switch off his tv persona and have more self control when the cameras are switched off. Difficult one to manage beeb

Rebellious? Clarkson? No he's not, he's a pillar of the establishment. Ex public-schoolboy who's employed by the state broadcaster and enjoys all those Chipping Norton set suppers with his friends the PM and Rebekah Brookes: he's not exactly Robin Hood.

Although I have to admit that, like Nigel Farage, he's made a very good job of managing to hide his privileged position behind a facade of being a man of the people.

Sorry, I'm lost Pat - is this Jeremy Cameron or Dave Clarkson you're referring to?

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for keeping it polite on this thread.

There are probably a few too many on this topic now, so I've started to close them.

Sadly this one is going to be culled.

Here's a link to the Why is Jeremy Clarkson still on television? thread:
