Nicole represented what was West Germany at the time of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1982. She was just 17 years old when she performed the last show in the competition, winning with 161 points and top marks from half of the competing countries. Quite the multi-linguist, Nicole performed parts of her song in English, French, Dutch, and German, and gained a standing ovation from the audience. She gave Germany their first win in contest history after 26 unsuccessful past attempts.

After her victory, Nicole topped the charts with ‘A Little Peace’ in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway and Germany. She has since released over 30 albums in Germany.
Despite her following successes, Nicole treasures her Eurovision victory and even keeps the outfit she performed in (which she still fits into all these years later!) on a mannequin in her hallway. (We would too!)
