Emmelie De Forest came first in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Only Teardrops.' Upon victory, Emmeille became the third contestant from Denmark to win the competition, following The Olsen Brothers in 2000 and Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann in 1963.

Since her Eurovision win, Emmelie has been performing her music around Europe, including her third (gold-certified) single ‘Rainmaker’ – which she performed in the interval at the Eurovision Grand Final last year. She has also recently released her second studio album.

An important part of Emmelie's stage performance has always been her footwear - or lack of it! "I have always preferred singing without wearing high heels or shoes”, says Emmelie: “Being barefoot makes me feel closer to the ground, the earth, and makes me feel more relaxed.”
