Queen to visit fank this week...

Has the running of this site been taken over by the Home Office? It's July 2006 as I write this - when will it be published, I wonder? I posted a message last week to Sunny who was asking after me and annie beag et al - whoever Al is!
People are missing their daily fix of Arnish Lighthouse - I've noticed people are even buying the Stornoway Gazette again to relieve the boredom.
The main point in this blog is to announce that the Queen and the rest of the Windsors, Barbara excepted, will be calling at the Fank site this week to unveil a blue plaque on the Big Guga Bochan. She will also be giving the Queen's Award for Industry to the 'I cant believe it's not Guga' factory in Habost. Then it's back on the Hebridean Princess for some MacBraynes Macaroni. Emporio Alanjohn in Lionel is stocking up on Bath Olivers in case she calls for some biscuits to have with her strewback. Donald being a Republican has gone off to Centreparcs in Lesmahagow for the week. Is this the sort of royal tittle tattle you are looking for? How are things in Sebastapol? Is it near Elgin?

Dear Calumannabel, I am writing this as a letter as this sit is slower than if HM Queen was delivering snail mail herself, although I reakon even she would move fater & deliver ALL the mail faster. I am deeply dissapointed to have missed HM's visit as we do enjoy sinking the odd gin or twelve together, she does a canny impression of Donald begging for alms when she's on form you know. As for Phil the Greek, he's always good for an inardvertant splitting of the sides. We do miss Bettys visit from the days when the Brittania dropped by Arran. It's just not tiffin! D'ya think Graham is on half time? I see a revolution brewing... so who is up against the wall... will this ever be posted? probably not... It's not like it used to be when this was all fields.. hrumph!

Sunny from Arran

Donald doesn't beg for alms anymore - he dives off the pier at Stornoway if anyone throws 50p in. He's a major tourist attraction/shipping hazard - we're not sure which. Glad you're better and hope you have a busy summer in the shop.

All is well. Colonial daughters and Mother returned from Fank with many tales. Most of which I find unbelievable.Their eyes gleam and dance when they speak of the "interesting" people they met. Perhaps I will attend next Extraganza to judge for myself. Elgin? Unfamiliar with Elgin other than in Illinois, some 2000 miles east of here.
