Roll up roll up for Donald's Grand Autumn Barbecue

This Friday at the Fank site starting at 19.30 hrs. There will be a huge salmon barbucue. Tickets are a bargain 50p inc food as Donald seems to have got a good deal on the fish and the barbecue fuel.
He wishes to point out that there is no connection whatsoever between this event and the reported loss of 32000 salmon from a farm on the island and denies entirely that it was him loading a van with 17 bages of stolen peat in Harris last week.
So that's it - no link between him and the reports of these losses/thefts in the Stornoway Gazette. Donald has his peats on CCTV and would advise others with peats to either do the same or fit a tracker to the peat stack.
Be there or be square BYOB
Bring your own bodach!

okay send me my ticket(plus the plane fare)

tws's weather girl from where its dull

Will the bodachs have to be kitted out in AnnieB's CoutureBodach range or can they just turn up in any old pete sack? Sorry...peat...

Flying Cat from Pete Sack & the Raybahns

Surely it would take more than a mere 17 bags of peat to barbecue 3200 salmon? I'm almost certain I tried to post a comment here yesterday...whenever that was...

Flying Cat from ib surrealtime

a barbucue is the same as a barbecue by the way

Donald from By the peat stack

Please can I share if anyone has a serviceable BOGOF bodach?

Annie B from the usual

A Bu coo is something you might like to barbucue...

Flying Cat from The Bu

Bu coo - have you trouble with your adenoids?

balcolm from ness

isn't bu coo a shortened way to merci bu coo in that land over the english channel?

Wild Freckle from Mull - not quite so fishy

Salmon barbecue?!? Is this another Nairn culinary divagation passing for ancestral recipe? I thought salmon was baked, grilled, or - heavens forfend - sushied (for those of you who live on the edge). 3,200 barbecued salmons for three dozen and ten fanksters? And we are not allowed to go home until they are all eaten?! Where did you learn this, Calum.? Guantanamo?

i'm aga--st!--so is man with the-- after reading the blogs of fc and tws-he is convinced we all should be locked up!!!

carol from the usual place

Fpu says, if she can be locked up with 'man with the' then it might as well rain until next September for all she cares...what can she mean...

Flying Cat from Timbucoo...where tastes are catholic

fc: tell ur fpu being locked up with man with the, is not bad at all yum yum!!

carol from the usual place

Oh stop it! She's come over all strange again.

Flying Cat from soothing a much-fevered brow

Thank heavens, the thunderthighs of the US women's soccer team did not come near Calum.'s salmon barbecue. 3.0 against England is a pretty decent performance. How about the Scottish team? Do you have to be born in England or Scotland etc. to play on the team? or do you simply have to be a legit. resident?

mjc from NM, USA

Possibly even an illegit resident...

Flying Cat from family twig

Our US soccer team got whacked, gobsmacked, made rillettes of, by the Brazilians. Those girls from Ipanema are just awesome: it's all that jiving they do at Mardi-Gras in Salvador (de Bahia). They look good, play even better. Maybe the US should pick up cricket: the competition does not look all that fierce ...

Talking about residents made me (strange how the mind works) about Sunny. How are things, Sunny? Just wanting to let you know that you are not forgotten. Keep us posted.

Isn't this calumannabel's blog?

Flying Cat from where am I...

Blog hijacking is as common as kebab. If my memory serves me right, FC, you have been known to perform such dastardly deeds yourself. Hiowdyado Calum.?

mjc from NM, USA

Please feel free to hitch a ride on my blog. I'm fully insured.

calumaxa from lewis

I've got nothing to say. I just wanted to put that in the 'from' field.

Flying Cat from A Northern Rock

Damn! That's what I get for not paying attention... I missed it and I'm partial to a bit of poached salmon and if it's been on Donalds person for any length of time it'll be well cure too. Boo hoo
